We fight for those who can't fight for themselves

JUVENILE LAW

BMA has experienced attorneys who are familiar with all facets of juvenile law.

Juvenile matters are complex and require an attorney who is skilled and knowledgeable in this area. The practice of juvenile law ranges from children charged with delinquency cases to families who are involved with the Department of Human Services, paternity, and custody matters.

Dependency & Neglect Matters

Having the Department of Human Services involved in your family's life can be frightening and overwhelming. Our attorneys have years of experience navigating Dependency and Neglect cases. We are prepared to protect your family that has become involved in the child welfare system.

Representation of Parents

If your child may potentially be or has been removed from your care, you need an advocate to assist in ensuring your right to parent is defended and that your child is safely returned to your care. Our attorneys have extensive experience in dependency issues and know how to most effectively handle these cases to get the best results for you and your child.

Representation of Intervenors

For families whose grandchild, niece, or nephew is involved in the system, we also can provide advocacy for your rights to be involved in their case. For foster parents who are caring for a child who is in the system, we can provide you with advice and representation on how to best be involved in the legal process regarding that child. Our attorneys have worked in the field and know how to effectively pursue your goals of involvement in a dependency case.

Appeals

Our team is skilled in the expediited appellate process for Dependency and Neglect cases. These cases represent one of the most complex areas of appellate law. Our team has participated in Dependency and Neglect appeals at the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court.

Juvenile Delinquency

Regardless of age, one fact is clear. We all make mistakes. A mistake as a juvenile can have life-challenging consequences as an adult. Your child needs protection.

From minor infractions to major crimes, your child has rights in the justice system and you need to exercise those rights to protect them. Our attorneys are well-versed in the services available to youth involved in the juvenile delinquency system and can effectively advocate for them.

BMA's focus is to represent your child and to advocate for an effective outcome that will serve them well as they become adults. In many cases, the charges can be significantly reduced, expunged or dismissed.

Please feel free to contact one of our attorneys with any questions.
