Managing Partner
Alison Bettenberg is a founding partner of Bettenberg & Associates and has been the managing partner since its inception in 2011. Alison has over 20 years of legal experience in the areas of criminal law, family law, juvenile law and appellate law. Since 2002, Alison has been a contractor to provide Guardian ad litem and Counsel for Youth attorney services through the Colorado Office of the Child’s Representative in Dependency and Neglect, Foster Youth in Transition, Juvenile Delinquency and Appellate cases. Alison is a member of the Office of the Child’s Representative’s Appellate Litigation Support Team.
Alison is a skilled trial attorney with extensive jury trial and court trial experience. Alison has appeared in all levels of Colorado Courts include the Oral Arguments at the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court.
Alison is a native of Colorado and attended University of Denver – Sturm College of Law. Alison earned the Order of St. Ives distinction for graduating in the top 5% of her class. Alison has been in private practice since graduating law school. Alison enjoys mentoring and working with young associates to develop their skills in the courtroom and in their own practice.
Alison has a successful family law practice involving contested allocation of parental responsibilities issues, complex marital estates and family law appeals. Alison has been successful in defending against and obtaining favorable outcomes for her clients. Alison has successfully participated in over a hundred court trials in family law and juvenile law matters. Alison has also has an extensive appellate practice which has resulted in published opinions from the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court in juvenile and family law.
Alison is an avid Colorado Buffaloes fan and enjoys spending her time with her husband and three children in the mountains, camping, skiing and boating in the summer months.
Alison is committed to developing a case strategy with her clients that results in effective and successful advocacy both in court and out of court.
